I just installed a Westinghouse HDTV monitor to my cable company installed HDTV box. After a few days the picture will go black for a second about every ten to twenty minutes. The connection is a good HDMI cable. When I run a DVD through a sparate component in connection I have no problem. Do you think it is the cable box?

No, it is an HDCP handshake problem, only way to alleviate the problem is to go back to component cables.
