A friend of mine gave it to me and it was working great for a year or so but then suddenly the red color is orange and I am beginning to worry. Maybe it is too old? What can I do to fix it?

At first I tried playing with the settings but nothing seems to work.
The the model is Panasonic TH-42PD50U.

My friend( the one who gave it to me) posted this problem in fixya as well so if you need more information here is the page:
