Nasir: The Fortec Classic NA is becoming almost extict, i.e. it is not supported like the Ultra.
DO NOT USE the latest ultra BIN 293T.
The latest for Classic NA is dated around 13-15th February.

Nasir: Sonicview 4000 has the USB flash drive which you will find very convenient. Viewsat Ultra is similar - and slightly more money.
Captiveworks 600P is reputed to be as good with a much lower price tag.
So far, there is good support for all these. Do NOT buy fortec Ultra - it will be the next one out, with the Pantecs. |

king : There has been a bigger change for 2700E than many other receivers. You will need to first upgrade the boot to B75 and then upload the BIN 203.

thats right they havn't changed same old keys, if you are using older bin files turn your autoroll option off

hy can u please help me out here i have fortec liftime ultra i downloaded the latest bin, when i turn in on it give me the screen like when we have to change keys, so i went to change keys i had the screen there all fffff so what can i do please let me know, nb. i reflashed and downl.new file again still no luck i rescan with blind scan i did factory setting...nothing seems to be working to change the fffffff screen...

Key Morphing:
Everybody please note that there is key morphing in progress with DN. DN actually alters the keys in your receiver, if you have certain BINs. Only a few of the numbers of the keys in both the Key 00 and Key 01 are altered.
When you take a casual look, it seems to be the same. Check in detail, and you may find a few of the number have altered. Change them to the current key - but always with autoroll off. |

TJ: Whether your receiver is genuine Pansat 2500 or clone, you will be OK with BIN 293T, or BIN 288T or 289T.
You will need BL updater 1.4 - do not use anything else.
Always unzip files before using.
As The One suggested, you will need to use a USB to serial converter, and possibly a converter to get the right 9 pins at the end. You should use the USB software drivers sold with the adapter.
Read the instructions carefully - they are avaialble at many sites.
Look at the Fortec Ultra or Pantec sections for the files and instuctions. The BL updater may also be found in Pansat section.

Wiht 293T BIN you should get the latest keys in automatically with your autoroll on. with 288T or 289T, you will need to have autoroll off and be prepared to enter keys manually. Also there is a greater chance of key morphing - see my post above. |

#3: GTRom Loader v3[1][1].36 [pansat3500S].zip
#4: STB Loader 2[1].1.zip

When I go to Nagravision 2, I see that under 01 01, there is only key 00 and it is not changing to key 01.

Rabih Khatib: Thne ariza receivers you have mentioned have the poorest of support. If budget is restricted, look at CaptiveWorks 600P. Also look at Sonicview 4000 and Viewsat Ultra. |

TJ: In the past, an upload of BIN 290T or 292T, if it failed, I have advised factory reset and uploading of 280T or 281T and then retry the latest.
Factory reset will also remove your user settings, so you should note them down before resetting, and restore them later. Clock date and time zone are extremely important.
Factory reset also vipes out the satellite scans, so note down the settings of the satelllite(s) scanned (Menu/installation/Antenna), particularly the DisEqC settings and restore them after a successful upload of BIN, othervise you will not get into Parental control. |

Eagle Star, to the best of my knowledge, is a Pansat 2500 clone, but is not as fast or as good as some ot the other clones. My next door neighbour has one and has had many more problems and is definitely slower than my Pantec. |

Now I am watching some of the channels of Echo 3ku and Echo 7ku, but still I see only one key when I got to Nagravission 2. If I change the key 00 to 01, it remains either 00 or 01. I don't see two keys 00 and 01 as I used to see before distruption/reprogramming.

DN keys have not changed. If you have an older BIN, there is key morphing going on and will affect you.
1. Switch off at back and switch on after 30-40 seconds.
2. Check all the numbers in both the keys to make sure you have the right keys. |

Nasir: For the Fortec NA Classic: You have to put in the latest 3/21/07 bin and install the latest key code manually and be patient with the box. It works like a snail, but the latest bin with the correct keycode works. |

Nope same old keys!
Turn your autoroll off, if you are using an older bin file and enter the keys manually

Smith Monty : Most people scan either 61.5W in th eEast or 148W in the West for Indian Channels. 121W has some and also 118.8 - the latter equires a circular LNB. |
