My player has been grand for a wee while, but I've just bought a Samsung LCD screen, and the DVD player has started randomly dropping out. I'm fairly sure it's NOT the screen (despite the coincidental timing), as when it happens, I rewind the disc and the dropouts happen in the same place. Last night I ejected and reinserted - there was no 'last position memory' and the dropout points lost colour also. It's not the discs as they are clean and it has happened on a couple of them.

Any ideas? Is the player just old enough that shifting things to put in the telly might have jiggled it? Buy a new one? All suggestions gratefully accepted.
