I have bought a sony handycam dcr-hc46.

I am going crazy trying to transfer the video i have recorded from the mini dv tape down to my computer. I have tried many programs such as windows movie maker, pinnacle studios, adobe premiere elements. No matter what i do i can't seem to find the camera when i connect it to my firewire pci port.

I am hoping that someone can help me to find out what the problem is?

Regards Rosenberg from denmark.

Adobe Premiere will do or any of the 3 PGMs
I'm not a PC user but:
- What you need is to select firewire protocol (Preferences)
- You'll also need to capture

Depending on your operating system and dificulty you are encountring yo need to list what yo got and type of problem yo R having.

It is not a one switch transfer
If U R using windows 98 you need to install a driver but if you are using windows XP firewire should be detected as you turn on camera.

I hope this helps
Good luck
