Does anyone know what type of signal comes into my ditigal cable box? Is it analog until it hits the box or is the signal already digital before it hits the box?

All signals are analog
Analog ch 2-75
Composite of both digital and analog signals
Modulated and some encrypted for premium and pay per view
Encryption is a conditional access called powerVU by Scientific Atlanta
No one hacked it as far as I know
