DVD you do need White red yellow RCA cables
Even if you cascade DVD to VHS player it may not work on encrypted DVD media

I have seen a gadget at either Best Buy or Walmart that allowed you to plug in your devices and basically convert it to coax into your TV for just this problem. I remember thinking it was reasonably priced (maybe $20-30). I don't have any idea what it was called but it should be exactly what you need. Good luck!
