I have a Magnovox TP2781 C101. The other day the picture died without warning. The screen went black but the power was still on. I turned it off right away because I could smell something burning. I left it sit for a bit, when I tried to turn it back on, I got a gray screen with some coloring towards the bottom. The sound works fine... I opened it up to take a look but could not find anything that looked unusual. I didn't want to poke around too much for fear of breaking it worse... I think the smell might have been coming from the little black box that has what appears to be tuners for the screen and focus? I'm not sure what that part does or if that sounds fitting for the symptoms I am having... Any suggestions?
