I have an Olevia 542i 42"lcd TV, hookrd up to digital cable box (Explorer 8300HD) using HDMI cable. After going through different channels, some
HD some regular (16:9 4:3) all me regular non HD channels are shifted to the right. I have to change my sourece of input on the TV which is about 7 choices to get back to HDMI and the pictur is OK. When it's off center it' not clear as it should be. Thank you, this is my first post. |

SET THE AUTO wizard to your cable box (read your manual)
Usually you have to turn off Receiver followed by
Pressing (guide+info) at same time from receiver not the remote.
followed by steps on screen
Since broadcasters use all of these you must enable them all or it won't look right.
Most TVs are preseted for TV tuners in case you tune externally:
In receiver/cable box set advanced setup to enable all:
* 480 standard
* 480i
* 480p
* 720i
* 720p
* 1080i
followed by the wizard for auto switching
If one of these not enabled will cause poor quality on LCD/Plasma/or DLP
Wizard will allow your receiver or tuner to detect broadcast aspect ratio/resolution but is up to you to set it for auto switch including auto stretching 4:3 and keeping 16:9 so you don't have to mess with that either. |

Press (guide+info)with the unit off.
