It has been my distinct pleasure to have been able help keep our Fortecs alive for the past Year. As it seems that the Pansat 2500A files will soon come to an end I will no longer be able to support the Fortec Lifetime Ultra in the future. As long as there is still a release for the Pansat 2500A unit I will continue to do my best and make a safe file for use. At this time I would like to urge all to upgrade to another receiver while prices are still competitive. We have had a long run and I feel it is best to just move on. Newer boxes are what you should be looking for as they have so many new features that you have not been able to enjoy with your older units. I urge you not to buy another clone because of price because you will be constantly struggling with the same issues……

Once you have downloaded the zip file, extract the file relevant to your needs. There are two types of files.
1 file for BEV for serial load, you use this to upload to your receiver if you are scanning BEV.
1 file for BEV for jtag. Same as above but for jtagging
1 file DN for serial load, you use this to upload to your receiver if you are scanning DN.
1 file for DN for jtag. Same as above but for jtagging.
You will need Blacklist updater 1.4 for uploading to your receiver.
It is available at many sites.
You may also find the BINs and instructions there.

Nalin Nyda : I have a FORTEC lifetime Ultra and it has been recently updated with the new Bin. The keys work just fine. But what do you mean by your message that we need to buy a new reciever. FORTEC lifetime Ultra will no longer work in the future??!!! please advice |

Nalin Nyda: i'm trying to download b-80 for my pansat 3500 which currently has b-70. when i download there is an error message that says "flash update fail". I have followed all the instruction from pansatusa.com for upgrading but nothing seems to work. Plsssssssss help me!! Thanks in advance. |

After losing service Saturday I manually entered the new keys in my Multistar 2500 clone. Still no signal on anything except the DN info channel. After doing alot of reading here I thought I needed to install the 289T bin (was using 286T since November) Now when I power on the receiver I just have a dash that flashes back and forth accross the receiver. I went back and reloaded the 286T bin and still have the same flashing dash, I left it on both times for hours and it did not change.
What should I do to correct the problem?
I used Blacklist Updater V 1.4 to load both files. |

one TV fan: Recheck if you really installed 289T or 289. The 289 would have a clone killer and you would need to jtag.
If you did not kill your receiver, you could try the following.
1. do a factory reset. Switch off at back Disconnect receiver from satellite.
2. Install something like 280T using BL updater 1.4.
3. Install by turning on the receiver and immediately clicking on the mouse to start the upload.
4. If 280T installs succssfully, do user settings and then install 290T (this is the latest.) You will have downloaded this and unzipped the appropriate DN or BEV file and have it ready for upload.
5. If keys don't roll in, do a manual key entry after turning autoroll off.
6. Do a switch off at back and on again. |

Dena : BL who writes the Pansat BINs and Chancynand who writes the clone BINs based on these BINs have both stated that they are reaching the memory limit.
In the latest version they could not publish one BIN that would work on both DN and BEV. They have advised that you upgrade to a more powerwul receiver with more memory.
My own suggestion is to try out the latest 290 BIN and see if more memory has been released to make the receiver response smooth. There may be more life left in the Pansat clones and fortec ultra. If so we are talking of about 6 more months. It might be prudent to sell off a working receiver for a small price and buy a new receiver. |

You may want to upgrade. do not upgrade if you are scanning both BEV and DN at the same receiver. Please see posts above. |

Ok so I'm not trying to promote sites or take sides, but I'm guessing a lot of people on here don't know that you can actually just download the keys on your own instead of having to check a forum, that way you have them pretty much instantaneously. I was new to this too and found this out, and it's been REALLY helpful instead of relying on people to post the new keys all the time. So for all you new users out there like myself, it's easier to just go to http://www.dssevolution.com/forums/index.php? and download new keyripper v3.1. Again, I am NOT trying to promote this site, I just know this is the place to get it, I'm sure there's other places to download it too, this is just where I got it. Hopefully it helps a few people! |

Maake sure you have correct date, time and time zone.
1. Try switch off at back and turn on after 40 seconds.
2. If not working, turn autoroll off (Menu/Parental control/second pin/0000) for DN and for bev. Then enter Keys for DN (provider 0101) or BEV (Provider 0901) Make sure you enter Key 00 and and Key 01 completely and SAVE.
Exit several times. excute item 1 again.
3. If still not working, do "set default keys" then repeat 2 and 1. |

DN Keys have not changed for past 2-3 days. If your receiver was working and stopped, try switching off at back and turn it on after 30-40 seconds. |

well first of all try and do the blind scan from Menu->sattelite-->blind scan and see if that helps bring back the channels. If not then post again. |

Jose - if you are trying aimed at Bev I can tell you right now you will need to imput keys manually. They are still having problems with teh Xtreme rolling Bev.

First - What bin did you load DN or Bev?
This may be the reason you are missing channels. You an only receive from one provider with the new bins and not both. |

AV, who is keen on Fortec Ultra has reported problems with Indian channels using DN. I am confirming that I tested the DN version of 290T on a clone and I lost ZCINE, ZEETV, SET SETMX etc. I reverted to 289T. |

DN keys changed about half hour ago - they have been posted above.
Switch off receiver at back and switch on again after 30-40 seconds. It might work. Otherwise, set autoroll off, do "set default keys" and reenter both key 00 and key 01. |

There is no difference between the two sets of keys, some times 00 is active and some times 01 is active. Just make sure you uupdate the active keys and you should be able to watch TV. |

Thanks I did what you said and it worked. Reciever now powers up normally. However I still only recieve a few channels DN info, adult lock out and PPV confirmation and 1 or 2 more. Others get "scrambled or bad" channel. Level is at 90% Quality 99%. I updated keys last night as they changed, have tried a blind scan and powered down the unit, still no change.
What should I try next while I still have some hair left.
I have a multistar (pansat 2500) clone

one TV fan: Since I wrote to you last, I have tried the 290t myself, and am disappointed with it. I found that some international channels are missing on 61.5W and I have seen reports of the same problem on 148W. I then went back to 289T, and had to first install 281T and then 289T.
The other problem is that there is no uniformity. some clones respond better than others.
If you feel strong, try 289T again (280T or 281T first and then 289T).
Both BL and Chancysand have advised that you should get another receiver. |

Sonicview 1000/4000. Key entry
1. menu>entertainment
2. You will not see word "code". You will only see some names of games. DO NOT PRESS OK.
3. Enter 7890 and you will see the word "Code"
4. Press OK. You will now see key entry screen
5. scroll to nagravision then down one
6. Right scroll to DN 0001 and enter keys.
10/11 for Key 00 and 20/21 for Key 01
7. Save.
8. Go up and select provider ID 0101 and repeat step 6 and 7.
9. If you are entering BEV keys scroll to provider ID 0800, do step 6 & 7, then scroll to 0901 and do the same.

what site can i get the 289 T bin and if i want to downgrade from 290T do i need to load 281T first? |

i tried loading the 289T bin on my pansat 2500 and it did not work...i was downgrading from 290 becuase alot of the indian channel do not work...any ideas on why it doesnt work ? |

Hi
I have viewsat extreme vs 2000 platinum i have manually input the new keys into my reciever and its up and running but as soon as i change couple of channels the screen gives me signal searching message . when i turn off the reciever and turn if on again every thing is ok. can someone please tell me what is wrong with my reciever

Bujju Singh: Viewsat ultra or Sonicview 4000 is a slightly better buy to the one recommended by The One. They have usb stick for uploading new BINs in future. Mainly a matter of convenience, if you have been taking your receiver to your computer for uploading. It is a bit more money. |

Ricky S: The latest bIN for Eagle Star is 290T. If you need all internationals then use 289T bin. Make sure it has a T at the end. Whatever you use, be prepared for glitches and freezes. A change to a new receiver is highly recommended.
Keys are the same for all receivers and are posted here often enough as they change. |

Try truning the autoroll off and manual key entry.
Try using a much older BIN for the upload (280T or 281T) and then install 289T. If you still have problems start afresh with System reset. If you have to do a reset, you will have to scan afresh. It would be best to note down user settings and the antenna and DiseqC settings before doing a reset.
Turning receiver off at back and on again, also helps. |

Menu/Parental control/second pin.
Enter 0000.
Go to bottom, and in autoroll menu, set autoroll off for BEV.
Exit.
Enter Nagravision 2.
Find provider ID 0901 by right scrolling in the appropriate area.
Go down past the 00, and enter the BEV key 00 - two lines of 8 two digit numbers.
Save.
Go up and change key 00 to key 01 with right arrow. Go down and enter key 01. Save
Exit, Exit, Exit, Exit
If things do not work, turn receiver off at the back and 30-40 seconds later turn it on. |

genne simons: Use 290T BIN.
With 290T you may lose some International channels if you are scanning 61.5W or 148w. You will have to decide what you want - all channels or ease of autoroll? If you want both, change to a new a faster receiver such as a Viewsat. |

Jaz: The problem you have reported has been reported with BIN 290T for Pansat clones, Fortec Ultra and Pansat 2500A. You go back to 289T and continue using manual key entry.
The same may apply to Pansat 2700A BIN 295 and IF So, go back to BIN 292 |
