Hey guys i have a quick question...My DN on bin 2.90 on an ARIZA 700 has been working but a few days ago it said No Signal!, i went up and dusted off the snow that was on it, and a few hours later it worked for another day. Then again im getting a no signal message.
Any ideas what that could be?? Could it just be a cheap dish or something. I think when the snow clears in a few weeks im gonna put one of those see through bags over it so no snow or ice gets on it.
??????
I barely watch satellite, maybe once a week,and i just got it last month. I really need it to work for saturday, (UFC!) |

Nalin: I have the Bin 2.86 for Pansat 2700a and every thing is working fine. All channels i am getting without any problems. Autoroll works most of the time ( I need to key in once in 3 weeks. I donot have any problems with autoroll) Do i really need to upgrade to a higher bin? |

Raghu Raghav: The reason for the later BINs is mostly for BEV and for International channels. If you are satisfied with your current BIN there is no reasonwhy you should change. |

Ok, like i said, i have bin 2.90 on an ariza 700, with DN.
It works a few hours a day, and the rest of the time it says No Signal!
Someone said it means i need to change it to bin 2.91. But everyone is saying that bin 2.91 is messed up or something?

I would not download a bin file from dsstester, sorry Nalin don't mean to put you down, but i have tested the bins and most of them are corrupted. I would download the files from, either: dssevolution.com, totalfta.com, dssrookies.com, dsscommunity.*com. these are the reputable sites and i would go there for help guides and how to guides aswell. |

The DOS compare command is over 20 years old and has been used by people with complete accuracy of comparison. I have downloaded the two files at dsstester and the same at dssrookie and have compared them.
The file by Mark at dsstester and the same file at dssrookie are each 620,394 bytes long. Microsoft DOS compare command tells me they are identical byte for byte.
The file by Vortex at dsstester and the same at dssrookie are each 404,435 bytes long. Microsoft DOS compare command tells me they are identical byte for byte. |

Box: Ariza 700
I am still having problems with 3ku channels. Did a factory flash. 7ku channels came up fine but no 3ku, scan failed.
LBN Local Freq is set to 11250 and Level is 28%. If I change freq to 12250 the Level goes upto 75% but scan still fails.
Does it have anything to do with LBN Local freq or its something else ? |

Hi, I just have a newly found problem with my Pansat 2500. It was working fine I just updated my bin to 289T and after that I was trying to find auto roll option so I can turn it off but unfortunately:
I accidentally clicked on factory setup and then OK which has erased channels I guess.
Now I am not able to go to Parent Control and Channel Edit as they are grayed out.
I would really appreciate it if someone can please help me as to how I can restore my receiver to original factory setup. Thank you. |

You cannot get to Parent Control or channel edit with no sat's scanned or channels saved in memory on your receiver. This mistake is common and the BIG reason why you should learn how to use channel master to backup your channel list. If you had a backup of your channel list saved on your computer you could just load it with the serial cable like you do a update. You can find channel master at all the repeatable sites listed 100 times here.. |

Thats what you did when you hit "factory settings" Its just like it was new now. It does still have the .bin you just loaded factory settings does not change that.. |

The One: I have no problem with you. You are sincere in what you advise and do. Dsstester site has been maligned by people here for reasons of their own. All sites have a risk of a wrong file posted sometime and a file corrupted during upload or download to their server.
The person who posted it at dsstester site had a quarrel immediately after with the mods there so he started criticising his own post there, then accepted it as OK.
Please carry on with your good work, and do promote your own site for any files you have there. |

shawn: Go into Menu/Installation/Antenna and in the selected antenna, do a DisEqC connect to a satellite you are connected with.
Do a blind scan of this sattelite and your parental control will work. |

Hey guys I heard that the 289t for pansat 2500 clones had globecast working on them, but I'm still not able to get setanta sports or any other globecast channels. I've tried rescanning but nothing. I've let the autoroll go on for a while and still nothing. Any ideas why? |

Hey guys I heard that the 289t for pansat 2500 clones had globecast working on them, but I'm still not able to get setanta sports or any other globecast channels. I've tried rescanning but nothing. I've let the autoroll go on for a while and still nothing. Any ideas why? |

ma: International channels on 61.5 W and 148W are not working or reduced with the old BIN. You will need a new BIN. You have to post details of your receiver, the current BIN and the satellite you are scanning. |
