Haven't come across this prob in any other posts.
Bought this Samsung about 18 months months ago. Now having various odd behavoir issues with it:
- Turns on unexpectedly (infrequently)
- Does not respond to remote on/off (sometimes)
- Displays "NOT AVAILABLE" message box intermittently (stays on for minutes at a time and then goes away)
- Navigation thru on-screen menu is erratic, seems to jump around on its own (intermittently)
- TV volume resets to "0" level on its own (sometimes)
These probs cropped up in the last couple of weeks, and occur **sometimes** with no prompting from me. The picture quality otherwise is as good as new.
My questions:
1- Any ideas what may be causing this?
2- Is this something I may be able to repair myself to avoid a service call?

Is it at all possible that someone else (i.e. close neighbor) is inadvertently contolling your TV with their remote? I realize it seems silly and it probably isn't the trouble. |

Anything may be possible ... but I have to say that under the circumstances, this is not likely.
