I recommend the Viewsat Ultra or Extreme, over the Sonicview..
Same keys as yesterday...posted above if U took 5 seconds to look, or download Keymaster or KeyRipper that has been linked here too 1000 times!

DN is back....
Everything is working on 61.5 including PPV, sports etc. It all happenned automatically. It works with the same bin file we had yesterday.
Guessed what might have happenned????? |

I know how to enter the keys BUT
in LK's post a few up from mine, what does this mean:
Key0
Key1 (active)
On mine at the top of the keys, its says
09/01
00
**then the keys are here**
The codes i had in before are the ones he had listed under key0. I tried putting in the ones under "key1" but still no luck. |

Hey guys I don't think this was an ECM as originally thought. I just talked to some friends that work in the Intel fields and they were having problems with their equipment as well. Don't know what that means, but I sure as heck want to find out. |

Bruce M, do you have Dish or Bev? It's pretty straight forward. You already know how to enter keys. So all you do is look at the keys for 00 and 01 and enter accordingly. When somebody says 'active', that means those are the latest keys that were updated. |

Hi RANJEET, Yes i know how to enter the keys.
When i first got the box last week under key it said 00 and the keys were
76 3A 51 F9 0C 98 26 55 52 C6 BD BF C6 09 C7 C9
Now..i looked at LK's post and he showed the new keys were this:
Key1: FB 31 EC 24 45 8E D5 EF 36 36 F8 1C C9 8F A5 71 (Active)
My question is, what does Key 1 mean??? does that mean under key you type 01??

Key 1 = 01
key 0 = 00
different receivers have different formats, you just have to type in the correct keys in the correct section when 00 gets updated use key 0 and when 01 gets changed then use key 1. |

My friend is having problem with entering key manually in VS 2000 platinum. He says there are five lines of keys at 0101 and he is not sure which four lines to be used. Any response will be highly appreciated.

Viewsat needs a Null cable. You can buy a F/F Db9 null cable and use it or you can buy a M/F 9 pin null adaptor and use it in conjuction with your straight cable. |

SO.... I have a VS2000 Platinum x2. I was running the 23x bin, and went back to the DBPSW 061213p bin. The one box with the newer bin had died and wasn't auto rolling. the old bin has all the channels. I have all the pron on b*v for example....

PRFRMNJ I tried to install new bin 287t the way you say and it wont work for me I dont know why ??! The only difference is that when I turn the receiver On it does not say ON but it goes directly to the last channel that was on! You think there is another way or what should I do next because I tried and tried since 9 am today ? Thanks in advance |

i could not download indian or Pakistani Channels i have Fortec Ultra and all other channels are working fine need some advise what i am doing wrong i have two satellite dish and three LNB the switch i am using is which i received with Fortec Ultra receiver. |

the keys havn't changed since jan 18th. try and rescan your box if you have older bin file upgrade it to the latest one. that should help. |

Nalin Nyda I downloaded both of them I tried and same thing againe as before WRITE FAILD[ER1]. I think this Fortecstar Lifetime Ultra are the badest receivers I ever had. I dont know what to do next??? I guess I have to buy new receiver :S |

This is the Jtagless method of uploading a BIN. A couple of posts later PRFRMNJ has given his slightly different method. Follow the method PRECISELY a sstated.

If you fail, you should do a jtag on the receiver, but I don't think you will need to. |

Canadian boy: You probably have two LNBs on one Dish (Echo 7 and Echo 8.1) and a third, probably 61.5w (Echo 3 ) On the second Dish. You have the three LNBs connected to three inputs of a switch.
In the software (Menu/Installation/Antenna) you have these three LNBs connected to the same three ports. It seems that you have lost the software connection for the International channels satellite. |

Keys havn't changed for the past two days. If you are still having troubles getting all the channels, then it could be due to having an older bin file. I would suggest you go to one of the following websites and upgrade your bin file.

well i have put the new keys in and i have update the new bin file and on the channels say it is scarmbled or bad channel |

joker : Turn receiver off at the back and switch on again after 1 minute. Make sure autoroll is on, and the keys should come in. Check the date/time and time zone as well |

Write failed is NOT a Jtag issue...its either a bin, loader, impoper loading procedure, or communication problem (wrong/defective flash cable or computer port)..its a VERY simple fix, if U do some reading about your receiver and its software and cable.. |

Nevertheless, it will solve the problem. When the client is about to make the receiver a doorstop, extreme measures are justifiable.
"overkill" is a term invented by the Americans. |

Jose: All I know so far is that you have a Viewsat extreme receiver and you have entered new keys. Did you upgrade it with the latest BIN? What satellite are you scanning?
People will need to get much more information from you before they can help. |

Hus: To get true FTA, you need a 33" dish capable or receiveing C Band. You can mount up to 4 LNBs in front of it. You will need professional help. |

Thanks Again Nalin, but those guys they do not do the upgrades again for some reason, they will direct you to a website,which is a little bit complicated , that brings me back of trying to do download it myself if know were and what steps to take, once again thanks for all yr help |

Joose: BINs, uploaders, and instructions are readily available at many sites. Go to one of them, and into your receiver area. Most of them require registration.
