i currently have DN in 4 rooms and i want to go up to 6 rooms....will a 4X8 directv switch work for dish network or are they completely different systems? if it won't work, what options do i have? |

Good god andrew! 6 rooms? 6 receivers? You're spoiled! LOL! Not to change topic or anything, but could you tell me how to get DN in another room? I only have it in my main tv room. How could I get it over to another room in the house? |

well i currently have a 2x4 disecq switch...the 2 is the input, 4 is the output...so i have DN in 4 rooms.... you need a disecq switch, they are being sold on ebay for 10 bucks |

DTV switch won't work. And I the only way I can thing of is with diplixers, but these are not FTA friendly. |

The switch you are talking about is a DTV 4x8 switch with the following spec: Range: 950mhz to 1450mhz A standard DISEcQ switch has the following spec: Range: 950mhz to 2150mhz This is one of the reason I don't believe it will work, but in this business you have to test, test, test and then report what you find. |
