I have a HD50LPW62 that is 13 months old. I have an RCA contract. I was having a problem with a loud noise and it rebooting once a week or so. The service tech replaced the color wheel, that fixed the noise. It still will reboot every now and again. I also cannot get the HDMI input to work with my new Toshiba DR5 DVD recorder. component works fine.

I noticed when it was serviced that the muffin fan on the power supply was not running. The tech called RCA and was told it only ran during high temperature and not to worry about it.
That seems strange that the power supply only needs cooled when it is too hot?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
John Hill
