Just bought this set from Circuit city about 28 days ago and had to return it for another one. After reading posts about DLPs I would be a fool for not purchasing a warranty plan. Correct me if I'm wrong but can I purchase a warranty from someone besides circuit citys 4 yr almost $500 plan? From what I have read on here I'm led to beleive I can purchas warranty through someone else. I found this one looks good and is cheap. Does this apply to me??? I paid around $2000 after taxes on my TV. Thanks for help if Im eligible for this and you guys know of a better or more trusted warranty please let me know. I just hope I'm not stuck having to pay almost $500 for 4 years through Circuit City.

CC has a huge mark-up on their EW's.

I haven't heard anything bad about Warrantech.
Most underwriters extend the original factory warranty coverage, so you know what your getting up front.
