Hi. I need help with this RFT-PLUS gold series box that a friend of mine gave me. For whatever reason, I cannot get it to work. I currently have cable analog service which I did not order. From what I can see, it seems the previous owner had ordered cable service. But the cable wires are in place leading into the house. When I plug my Sony TV, I can see some cable channels for free when I press the "cable" button on the Sony TV.

I was wondering if I can use the RFT-PLUS gold series box to get more cable channels. If so, can anyone help me with setting it up. I found some links through google search and I tried setting up the frequency. But it seems like the RFT-PLUS requires a cable box which I don't have. I just use the Sony TV and press the "cable" button for cable channels. Any help would be appreciated.
