CB: Your question assumes (incorrectly) that we understand just what TV Guide you are referring to. We are not mind readers (yet). Is your TV Guide a Cablevision, COmcast, Tivo, Direct TV tv guide or are you talking about the TV Guide channel on some cable systems? |

CB: I am trying to be helpful... There is no native TV guide function or functionality in any brand of HD-TV that I am aware of...if so how would it become populated with information??? Some TV remotes have a "guide" funciton key that puts you on the TV channel that broadcasts the TV Guide. Most cable boxes, or Sat Receivers have a TV Guide function that lists all of the stations and programs in a TV Guide format. SOmetimes rolling and other times interactive. What television service are you getting your signal from? Cable, (Cablevision) or Satellite or an Antenna? That is a very important bit of information that we need in order to help you. |

merry xmass and thanks for replying...im on twc and the tv guide program is one of those interactive programs built into the lg set (50px5d)...anyway got it fixed...long story short started seeing sparkle like red dots on screen and finely tv people showed ...changed a video board (dont know what it was called) the power supply and the cc card board all seemed to work now BUT last night tv shuts down and comes back up on its own and now component input (rgb) plays all green and the remote control stoped working all other inputs play fine with a good picture..so have to wait to call back these repair guys and start a new adventure with this tv...dont know what happened but im guessing one of the boards they changed went bad...thanks again and merry xmass... |
