(old firmware)		 1.  Press the SETUP button on the remote control.
2.  Select the Preferences menoption from the onscreen menu.
3.  Press the STILL/STEP, PREV, NEXT buttons on the remote control.
4.  A hidden setup page should now be onscreen.  You can select any region you want or set it to region-free, along with disabling Macrovision.

2.  Press buttons 3, 8, 8, 8, 3 on the remote control.
3.  THe hidden menu should now be onscreen, where you can select any region you want, or choose region-free.

To change the video output format between PAL and NTSC:

1.  Press the SETUP button on the remote control.
2.  Press the buttons 7, 2, 5, 5, 5 on the remote control.
3.  The option to change between PAL, NTSC and AUTO should be available.

To check what version of firmware the player has:

1.  Press the SETUP button on th remote control.
2.  Press buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 on th remote control.
3.  The firmware version date is viewable.
