Can anyone help me on fading colors? I heard it needs cleaning. Have no idead if from the back or front. 1993 Hitachi Ultravision

Remove the screen, place Windex on a paper towel, clean the CRT lens. Next determine what kind of mirror you have. If it's glass, clean with Windex. If it's "Mirror-Lite" DO NOT TOUCH! Mirror-Lite is Mylar (plastic film). It can't be cleaned. You'll just make it worse. Is it glass or Mirror-Lite? Use the back of your fingernail to thump the very far conner, it will be obvious.
