i've tried searching but to no avail. when i hookup my cable box (SA explorer 3250) with an hdmi cable i get this screen that says my JVC HD-52G786 tv is not hdcp compatible, but when i shut it off and turn it back on it works. i know this has to be terrible for bulb life. my picture is way better with the hdmi cable. please help OSU v. mich is a week away.

Are you keeping the power on all the time on the cable box? If not, try turning the cable box on before the TV.
