OK first off its a Hitachi model #50ux22B, Very old, but from what I have heard still a very good picture... Now I Have a brand new Mitsu. 65" DLP tv, But my Father gave this one to me to fix, well when I press power I hear the first "click" (red light on), then not even one second later, I hear a second "click" and the set shuts down, I've taken the front and back panels off, and everything looks to be ok, no burns or frayed wires, the fuse is fine... I dont know what the problem could be or if the set is worth even keeping? but remember the TV was FREE, and I have a brand new 65" DLP... any feedback is greatly appriciated! thanks BILL |

Give it to someone who wants to spend about $300 bucks to have it fixed and have great looking dependable set. The set's protection circuit is shutting down set. Could be vertical failure, too high H.V., could be a whole lot of different reasons why. The set is protecting the CRTs/chassis from being damaged any further. |
