I am going to buy a 32" LCD for my bedroom and a 42" plasma for my rec room. My budgets are:

LCD - up to $1000 (would like to stay around 800)
Plasma - up to $2200

What recommendations might you make?

I am considering the Samsung HP-S4273 for plasma and am lost on the LCD. What other options might you recommend given my budget?

Try the Sony KDL32S2000, it can be found for just over $1000. You may want to consider a 40" or 46" LCD over the plasma you are looking at. Most of the plasmas in my opinion are not that great until you get to the real high end ones like Pioneer Elite.
