I have an 42" LG DU-42PX12X. When watching the tv through the componet cables, there is a noticable "humm" or feedback type noise. It is only through the componet cables that comcast provided. When i watch through the normal coaxial cable there is no hum. The comcast box is the HD 8300 box. What can i do??? |

I don't work for Comcast so it's hard to help when I don't know their equipment. Can you verify the volume on the 8300 is all the way up? The hum you are hearing could be related to a bad ground in some equipment that's plugged in. Usually a good way to check is to run an extension cord from another room and isolate each piece of equipment. |

ryan, since component cables carry video only, the first thing I would do is to replace the audio cord. This would eliminate the possibility of a defective cord. |
