Go to menu, OK on USER SETUP, scroll down to TP auto update and select OFF.....U may have to reload ure channel list or rescan as u may have lost some channels while the box was auto updating... |

Sorry Bane...you're dealing with a tech-idiot here. I was surprised i was able to update the BIN on my receiver What would "blind scanning for both Echo 7 and 8.6" mean? (i've got to assume that i didn't do this...all i did was export the BIN on COM1). |

ok do this press menu on the remote go to installation and go to blind scan. select satellite you wanna scan in your case its echo 7 and echo 8.6 so select echo 8.6 first go to scan and press ok. this is going to take some time aprox. 15 min per sat. after its done check all 8.6 channels if they work than just do the same thing for echo 7. |
