Hi all,

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55809 and I'm wanting to optimize its picture. I recently replaced the convergence IC's and I have a service manual and have optimized the geometry and converges as best I can. But to do this right I need help in understanding the procedure for focus.

The center of my screen is well focused, but around the outside 3" or so are not in focus. In fact, doing a 64 point convergence adjustment via the service menu is quite difficult because the lines are so badly blurred I can't see where it starts or ends.

I know when you call an expert to optimize your site, one of the procedures they do is Electrostatic and Manual focus (Quad Field Focus?) and then spend a great deal of time on geometry and convergence adjustments. This from what I understand is the only way to get a perfect picture.

Any help would be appreciated!
