Just to add to what "juan Cavazos" said..
Make sure there are no differences with the codes given here and those on your unit. After fixing them, just turn off autoroll and you should be fine untill next keys update. |

you will need latest bin file get it from www.ftatalk.com , the file is with .pgm extenson and will have date (20071024) on name. you can just get it on usb and then plug your jump drive to receiver. in menu go to receiver update, select usb, it will show u file on drive select it.
While updating receiver will reboot wait patiently and at any time DO NOT TURN OFF reciver.
you can find better instruction at various sites how to upgrade ,, this is just few simple steps of whatever i remember. |

Check the third number in Key 00 - it should be 24
Check the thirteenth number in Key 01 - it should be 5F |

Sorry Joker wish I could have been of more help.
Try going to autoroll and turning everything off: Keycode, Dishnet autoroll, BEV autoroll, GlobeCast Autoroll. Then go to NAGRA 2 AND INPUT THE KEYS. AFTER YOU'RE COMPLETE TURN THE KEYCODE BACK ON AND EXIT THE SCREENS. TURN OFF YOUR BOX FROM THE BACK FOR a couple of sec. and then see if it works |

I have done the 2500 to 2700 conversion using bin 218 and it worked fine.
Now seems like the keys have changed, I want to put the keys manually but at the moment I can only see option for 0101- 00 nothing else
How do I put the following in 0101- 01 and 0106 - 00 and 0106-01

I put auto roll off. I am going to Code Menu, then to Nagra and within that going to Dish. I have two options on Dish - 01 01 00 and 00 01 00. In the first series, I have codes for 00, 08,09,88 and 89. In the second series, I have codes for o8, 09, 88, 89. I am confused on which of these to update with the new keys. Please help.Thanks |

I have ARIZA 700. I flashed it with factory BIN and then downloaded AA-1_H20070202_293eEU(N)_bgmain.bin
Kept AUTOROLL OFF and KEYCODE ON.
Entered the keys manually, but STILL DOESNOT WORK.

I have 05 on the first row, 09 on the second, 79 on the third, and 89 on the forth.....is that correct?

should be 00- then keys (never change)
08- keys
09- keys these two are 00 or 86
88- keys
89-keys these two are 01 or 96 |

"knight rider" scrolling lights 2700A.....
I am still having this issue though I followed the instructions posted by "people", many thanks to them. I was able to have boot work fine but when I install the latest BIN the scrolling lights appears again. I have downloaded Tivo BIN for clone 2700A but no success. Can some one have any clue what else I can do or what I am doing wrong?
Below are the steps I did to get rid of "Knight Rider".
1.Prepare the unit for loading a bin file.although,this time,leave rear switch OFF.
2.Prepare the current loader,select the factory bin file (recommended,try first,but latest bin file is OK also).
3.Press download on loader,next flip the rear switch of the receiver ON.
the loader should start.
(If it does,let receiver fully reboot and read ON once again.Be sure to load latest bin file if successful,you are now finished).
4.Most commonly this will not work the first time.Try step # 3 a few more times.(if not successful continue).
5.Turn rear switch OFF,prepare loader with bin file.Quickly flip the rear switch ON,wait for FIRST light to scroll by,and press download on loader,loader should start.
(If it does,let receiver fully reboot and read ON once again.Be sure to load latest bin file if successful,you are now finished).
6.Repeat step #5 (completely)only wait for the SECOND light to scroll by,then try waiting for the THIRD light if not successful.
7. Repeat steps 5,6 until successful.Making sure the receiver reads ON and latest bin is installed on your unit when finished.

These are steps I did for BIN installation
1). Turn your 2700 "OFF" via rear switch.
2). Connect the RS232C null modem cable to the receiver and Com1 port of your computer. (Use Com2 if not Com1 is not available). Note: 2500 used a straight serial cable for downloads, THIS SERIAL CABLE WILL NOT WORK!!!. You must use a Null Modem serial cable, or a straight serial cable with a "null" adapter.
3). Plug in the receiver, Turn your 2700 "ON" via the rear switch, and see that the On is indicated on the LED on the receiver.
4). Run the latest loader from the files section.
5. Click the App File only button, browser and select the latest update file, example
X-87BL_051213_140_au_api then click the Open button.
(download and extract the latest file for 2700 in the download section)
6. Double check and make sure the cable is securely connected.
7. Click the Download button, wait until the Download Completed!! is displayed. Watch the LED on the receiver, it should reboot itself, wait until the On display.
8). Wait for Unit to finish flash, DO NOT INTERRUPT!
9). When receiver reboots and displays On wait a few more secs until you see the "Download Complete" message on your pc. Many people unplug too soon!
You are now done with the software update.
10)scan your birds.and set default keys.(if you need help on how to scan,ask here,state what dish/lnb(s) switch etc.that you have.) |

Here are the instructions on how to manually change the keys on your VS7000 PVR.
Important
In the menu under Installation > Parental control > Menu lock must be on to see the code selection in the Installation menu.
1) Go into the menu and select Installation and ok. "Enter pincode ????" box will appear.
2) Enter the master password 3570.
3) You will now see an option at the bottom on the menu below Hard Disk called Code. Select this and hit ok.
4) Select Nagra then ok.
5) For DN scroll until you get to the 01 01 00 Nagra 2 screen (there is a 00 01 00 for N1 keys). For BEV use 09 01 00 For N2 keys.
Format will be the following, these are not real keys.

HINTS
Key 0 aka 00 = rows 08 & 09
Key 1 aka 01 = rows 88 & 89
* Do not overwrite the first two characters in the line (08, 09, 88 or 89).
* Keys are normally posted as one line with 32 characters or 16 pairs.
* Keys are split into two lines 08 & 09 or 88 & 89, 16 characters on each.
* Do not change the 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 at the end of each row. |

make sure u are entering them exactly as they are and u are putiing them in the right place. Most people that have problems, they mess up ONE letter or number. Check it very carefuly |

Thx Dantetn, CS box has only 4 hex digit. Last time after updating new firmware, i had to change my DN 0101 to 0106 to make it work. But this time...whatever you change it won't pick up. I guess i have to wait for the new update. |

hmmm... u should be able to add keys. there is a post somewhere here that tells u how to enter keys manualy for all receivers. It may or may not help u. U could find it at other sites too, u will have to search for it |
