I'm interested in purchasing the Vizio 42" LCD HDTV. I'm happy with the price ($1599) and the picture looks crisp and bright to me. I was told by a sales that Vizio is owned by Sony and using the same lcd technology. I'm also looking at the Samsung 42" LCD which costs significantly more - but not sure worth it when compared to the Vizio. Any feeedback would be appreciated.

Not sure about them being owned by Sony, don't think thats true. I own the 37" and love it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

If you are buying it from costco, then you don't have to worry much. You can pretty much take it back anytime. The only thing you loose is the cost of transport.
