I have an old Zenith (model Number SM2565S)TV and I am trying to hook up my DVD player that can play all DVDs from any regions. I have the Audio and Video cables connected as they should be. For some reason my TV is not picking up the signal from my DVD Player. When I select TV/Video on my remote it should change the channel but its not. I even called Zenith and they were no help. Does anyone have any solutions to this?

Can you select the TV/Video option without using the remote?

No I cannot. The buttons on the front no longer work.

I think that is the problem. You cannot switch from TV to Video at all. You may have to get a new TV or have that one repaired.
