I am interested in purchasing a DVD player that upconverts formats to 1080i. From what I have read you need to use the HDMI for the signal. I have a Westinghouse TV with a DVI port. Can an HDMI signal be sent to a DVI port? Will I still get the upconverted signal? Thanks

Yes, you can get an HDMI to DVI connection... just make sure you send audio as well into the tv or receiver that you're using
