I have a Samsung DVD-HD960, with HDMI output and a Astar LTV-3201, with DVI input. I recently purchased a Belkin PureAV HDMI-to-DVI Video Cable and connected the dvd to the tv. The Samsung graphic comes up, but then the screen goes blank at the point when any type of content from the dvd would show up.
What could be the problem?

i read that hdmi version 1.1 isnt 100% compatiable to dvi-d . only hdmi ver1.2 and ver1.3 are 100% compatiable with dvi-d.
