My friend asked me to try to fix her mothers tv. The problem is that the vertical is to big. I have herd of Magnavoxes having no vertical but never too big. I adjusted the vertical size but its still big enough to cut off the last item in the menu and the vertical position adjustment does nothing. The whole picture could actually be too big because the displayed picture does not look distorted. I didn't have a good signal source to connect it to when I was testing it and its a console tv so it would be a real pain to bring it to my house to test it. Next time I go over I'll bring a dvd player to test it but until then does anybody have any idea whats wrong?

I have confermed that the verticle is to big. Any ideas?
