I am using both component video out and hdmi along with coax for audio to connect this DVD player to my Onkyo Reciever. The compenent video and coax audio are through my reciever but the HDMI is directly from the dvd player into my TV.

Now here is my problem:
When i select the input on my TV (HLS6187) to component, i get the dolby 5.1 audio out of the coax, but when I select the input to HDMI i only get 2.0 out of the DVD coax output.

As far as i know, the digital coax output should be independent of the video signal? shouldn't it?
Why is the audio format changing based on the video connection?
Does anybody else also see this issue or is it just me?
