Hey..
I tried to connect and run an update using RS232 DB9 to USB...but I was unable to use the loader...
I tried all com ports (1-4) on the bl loader and it kept giving me a write error.
So I had to boot up an older computer with a com port and then the loader worked.

Ok, will a 9 pin female to 9 pin male work, or does it have to be female to female?

Well both my receiver and computer are DB9 male.
So if its the same for you, you will need a female to female DB9.
BUT if you already have a female to male...then you can get a DB9 (female-female)gender changer.
Then just plug that into computer com port (male) and plug male side of your cable into the gender changer.

No problem :-)
I am using Fortec LU...and I used BL updater 1.3 with the 277T bin.
And everything is working fine.
For yours, the Pansat, I saw on this forum...BL updater 1.4 and youare using Pansat so you can use the 277 bin.
But you might want to confirm from others here what is the best loader version to use!!

I downloaded both the updater and bin file to my computer and I followed LK\\'s instructions on loading a bin from this thread...

Rich, the usb-to-serial converter will work as long as the converter's Windows driver is assigned to com ports 1, 2, 3, or 4 (check for this in device manager). Anything higher than 4 is not recognized by loader program.
