Ok stay with me.

Signal comes in, its converted to digital, then it does through a processor to clean it up, when sent to a CRT (cathode ray tube) which shoots a electron bean through a vaccum at the screen. This makes your picture.

I know thats not too in depth. if you want more info, search for a sony tech handbook (or service manuel) there you will get schematics and exploded pics of a tv
