I have basic analog cable. Have yet to upgrade to digital or anything else there is available. I want to purchase A DVD recorder will this be a problem if I want to record TV from basic Analog? Is the hook up the same as a VCR or will I need to purchase new equipment. Thanks I would appreciate the help

The hookup is the same, except you need to use line outputs from the recorder to the TV, component, s-video, RCAs.
