Ok, I have read several different threads about coping or dubbing vhs to vhs, vhs to dvd, dvd to dvd.....i get that i need a stabilizer. the question I have is: Can I copy (dubb) a copyrighted vhs to a blank vhs (disney) and then put my copy in to my vhs/dvd recorder and not have the copyright problem? I can not return the vhs/dvd recorder. and is there a way to connect a stabilizer to my system? Thank you...and S.S. that i'm still confused after reading all these threads.

If you're using a combo, you need a seperate VCR. VHS to VHS to DVD will be poor quality. Use a seperate VCR and a stabilizer and do VHS to DVD.
