I know that DVD Recorders will soon have ATSC tuners, but are there any plans to make any with their own cablecard slots for those of us who were dumb enough to buy tvs with the current one-way cablecard slots? I bought a Sharp tv with cablecard thinking I could eliminate the need for a box, only to find that I cannot record one channel while watching another if I use a cablecard instead of a box. All of the research I did said that I couldn't use pay-per-view, Video-on-demand, or Tivo, but nothing about not being able to record one channel while watching another. I could care less about PPV or HBO premium services etc. Hopefully I will still be able to watch & record my expanded basic cable channels after EVERYTHING goes digital.
