Hi,

I've run into a bit of a problem. I have a GO Video 3840 DVD/VCR player that has the child lock activated on it so that none of the buttons on the console can be used, only the buttons on the remote, but the remote recently broke and I'm left with no way to use the player. Does anyone know of any way to deactivate the Child Lock, either for this particular model of player or for just dvd players in general?

What about power cycling the player; turning it off for 60 seconds and then back on, would that work?

I'm at a loss here, I don't know how to possibly fix it, and the tech support line is just a taped message.

Thx for any help.
