Hi guys! I would like to buy a New TV to see Movies from DVD's or Dish Network, but I don't know which TV is better (Flat) an LCD TV or a Plasma TV? or if there's another better technology (As DLP Chip Technology).... Also somebody told me about Videogames (Plasma not a good option). Do you think Dish Receiver pro DP301 could be compatible with a HD TV? Thanks for any comments guys MR |

It depends on who you talk to. c|net has a great article that explains the differences. I'd look at that for some guidance. http://reviews.cnet.com/Televisions/4520-7608_7-1016109.html?tag=dir Personally, I have a LCD and love it. Keith http://www.eHDMI.com |

Toshiba DLP is the best qualoty picture in my opinion. Sony also make a great LCD television. both have integrated HD-tuner, so no external tuner is required for HD channels. http://rdcommunicationservices.com/tedsprogz/sony.pdf Email me at peterstelevision@bellsouth.net if you have any questions. -Ted Peters Peters TV

The DP301 is not a HD receiver. The model number for the Dish Network HD receiver is the 211 and the HD receiver with the DVR is the 622.We have them available. |

Actually Sonys LCos technology is thier lead display product at this time except for their front projectors. They mark these as SXRD displays. While DLP chip based displays are an improvement over the single color wheel technologies color inaccuracies still remian. Check realism in skin tones when demoing your displays of consideration. |

if you are into playing video games, an lcd is highly recommended...i have a 32in sharp aquos hooked up to an xbox 360 and the games look fantastic...the picture is bright, very detailed, and is capable of displaying fast moving objects in 720p without picture degradation...also, an lcd is less likely to suffer from burn-in's compared to its plasma counter part...having said all that, if space and weight are not an issue, i would recommend a crt hdtv for watching movies as it still provides the viewer the best picture quality over lcd and plasma due to its ability to produce deeper blacks and above average color saturation... |

TechLore has another great series that helps explain all the differences between different TVs. Here's a link to the flat panel section: http://www.techlore.com/article/10825/ |
