I recently got Sky. I then bought an ariel cable to connect the TV downstairs to the TV upstairs.
I used a splitter to connect the cable to both TVs. After trying to auto install like a million times I still couldn't view the picture that is on downstairs, and gave up.
Then last night I turned on the TV and instead of channel one I saw the sky channel that was viewed downstairs. I thought the problem was solved but today I turned the TV on again and the channel was gone.
I was told I need an amplifier (booster), is this true, or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
