you can turn the autoroll off in 274t then enter keys manualy if using bin without autoroll off option insatll older bin like ultrapan 101 Asharfi Vig tells how to enter keys just above |

You should use Nagravision 2 because the keys I posted, will not work on Nagravision. |

Autoroll is not good. People are saying it's dangerous for your receiver. So, just simply put the keys manually. |

I have a fortec Ultra,I am new to fta, I got it monday, scanned all the channels and they were all in, on tuesday the channels were gone, I get the waitng message and it goes on forever in the percentage mode, I have nowhere on the receiver that says code or nagra, I opened the channel edit and it does not give any options, please help me get my channels back. |

can u guys help me , I have a arizon 700 reciever and in the nagravision 2, the key data have 2 box in both 00 and 01 to enter the numbers.
when i enter the numbers under 00 and 01
in both boxes the both numbers 71....
and 88....
the channels works, but after 2 minutes it stop working and saying updating.....
will help me for this |

shut off the AUTOROLL feature , however U do it with your receiver and present bin...then re-enter the keys again! |

Fortec Ultra Life Time. Using 282t and did a channel scan on nimiq1 but cannot get any channels on nimiq1, echo9 works fine. Any nimiq1 channel I select receiver and screen freezes and then powers off and comes on again. What whoud I do to get nimiq channels to work? |

flash failed = wrong or defective cable or serial port!...nedd the straight (not null modem cable...they look identical)...and select an open available comport..
and use bin 275T with BL updater 1.4 from www.dsscommunity.co*m forums fortec area.. |

Hi Guys,
I have fortec life time ultra. The last bin I had was 273U which I had dowloaded from another site. it was working fine for 2 weeks and suddenly, I lost the picture 10 days ago. I tried to down load another bin v275cla again from another site and did a factory reset entering the passwd as 1668 and selected satelite channel list from the antena and blind scanned all the channels. I get 0 transponders. I lost all the original channel list. Because there is no channels, I am locked out of parental control to change the keys and I am not sure what to do now. Does anyone has any advice?

It took me 3 days (read & pratice) to know the functionality of SAT receiver such as load BIN, setup & fry my PANSAT 2700a 
how you enter key in your FortecStar, it's simple and just follow the steps that I did on Fortec Star lifetime ultra receiver which I borrow from a friend while I'm waiting my pansat revives from Dr. Frankenstin with his jtagg...

* Press Menu button on your remote control
* Go to parental lock at last row (second PIN) enter 0000
* Go to Channel list and remove all exisitng channel
* Autoroll Options, Press OK
- Settings for Autoroll Options:
Key Code=ON
Dish Autoroll=OFF
Bev Autoroll=OFF
Globecast Autoroll=OFF
* Go to nagvision2
- The DN (Dish Network - echo star) provider id is 01 01
Key 00 - for the first row enter: 63 04 DB C0 28 F5 01 E4
Key 00 - for the second row enter: 53 0E 17 5D EA 8A 13 6A
Key 01 - for the first row enter: D3 D1 3F 8B D3 80 95 1A

Hi Everone I need help I enter the new code and echo6-8 is working fine. But can not get any channel on echo 7, I did a full scan and all I am getting is dup. channel of echo 6-8 can someone help me with the righ settin I am using two dish with a DiSEqC switch echo 7 is on #1 and echo6-8 is on #2 but only gettin the same channel on both sat. need to know how to set up the right way. The problem with that post, tyler, is that it doesn't inform us of a few channels that are the most watched. ZEETV, SET are not listed in that list.
Is there a partial key change, or have they been moved as well? |

Some indian channels are not working....example: ZEETV, SET, SAMAY, TV ASIA. And 1 or 2 PPV channels are not working either.

I don't follow any of those channels so I don't know what their call letters or channel number would have been. (I just looked them up so please don't reply with where they are.)
But you do know that you need both sets of keys to view them, right??? the OO and O1 keys.
And those web sites (lyngsat and ekb) are only updated once a day if we're lucky, so they could have moved but not updated as of yet.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!
Channels on Echo 3 will work in less than 25 days. The company haven't MOVED the channels from Echo 3. They're just adding more channels on Echo 3 and that's why, they've paused it's service for some days. Soon, you'll be watching all the indian channels and your other favorite channels. |

tyler you seem well versed at this so maybe you or someone can help me out here. i know poon & ppvs are out on bev. but today the rest of my channels go black. so i put the keys that you have posted in my machine. exit out and now every chanel says- wait for picture- with a % next it but the picture never does actually come in whats up with this? ive tried factory restore blind scan. iget the scan on all the trans and all the channels get picked up to the machine but cant watch nothin. just wait for picture. |

There's no problem in international channels. Echostar 3 is adding more channels to it...that's why Echostar 3's service is paused for some days. You'll soon get the international channels back. |

you will not see international channels. They are using different kind of electronic counter measures.Alots of receivers do not have fix for it yet.Only receivers that has the fix is viewsat,dreambox,triple dragon at this time. |

Juan: I cant see if you post above information about your receiver. I mean is Fortec star lifetime ultra. IF you have a recent bin do you need go to menu and turn off autoroll, but if you have an old bin do you need go to menu and turn off Emu Key. Lucky |

Some of the other buttons on your remote represent the letters but I can't remember which right now.
Check your epg button, Info button, and what not.
There are 6 in total going from A to F. |

hi guys i'm newbie i just got my fortec lifetime ultra 6 months ago, as most of other users i lost all my echo 3 chanels and some of echo 7.
i'm a bit confused from what i read: some have a fix ???some other suggest to wait for the fix and other say no fix go buy onther kind of receiver, others says that u have to download a different bin or files....can u please suggest what to do i don't mind waiting for the fix....
i really appreciat a straight answer and don't ask me to do more reading and the more i read the more i got confused...

For fix ppv, xxx, indians, arabic, Starz already blackout with a new configuration by DN, do you need wait a new fix(firmware, or bin for fortec lifetime. There is already a fix for viewsat receiver, do you can wait for a fix or buy a viewsat. There are many problems with the box not only these channels blackout, for the receiver that have anothers problems in many case do you can download another bin etc... |

I'm not so sure they are in order or not, but those 6 keys on the remote represent the 6 letters from A to F
A: Audio key
B: EPG key
C: Last key
D: Pause key
E: FAV key
F: SAT key
When you're on the NAG or Nagvision screen, it shows the keys on the bottom of that screen. |

I want to download a bin into my Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra. When I press "Download", it says "Flash Update Failed". I have the right serial cable. I just need a little bit of your help. Please tell me what should be the "Baud Rate" and please tell me how to change it. And also tell me... what should I put as in "STB Model" column. I mean, should I put "Lifetime Ultra" or Lifetime".

Guys black channel are contiuned, maybe friday or saturday the sport channel go down too. I try to change the speed of image but no fix the problem. I can see when a tp have a same vod and ppv channel if you open the vod channel if you try the ppv channel that have a same video frequency this ppv channel work. I under stand that problem is encouder program. Maybe we need new bin.
I have a Pansat 3500SD
Any person of PR a know the DirecTV, have a same problem? I have 2 Dish I maybe I Change 119 for DirecTV.

Check your settings, and make sure that the DiSEqC switch is selected to the correct port.
Check the LNB settings to, make sure that hasn’t changed.
And any other setting in the antenna set up screen.
Is there any chance that there was any movement of your dish?

i am using a DSS toybox loader and i have the com cable connected from the computer to the reciever but my computer isnt detecting the reciever i tried it with the reciever turned off and i tried it with the reciever turned onn. |

Here are a few tips if you are having difficulty flashing: loading a bin..
I would advise everyone to read a set up guide before flashing. But, since people have been having some problems, I have revised this to provide more detailed information. But this is not intended to be a substitute.
1. Make sure you use the proper serial cable for your receiver:
Most Fortec and Pansat use a straight through cable with DB9 females on both ends.
The Blackbird, Pansat 2700/3500 and some other receivers use null (crossover) cable, which crosses over pins 2 and 3.
2, With the power turned off, connect it to your computer and receiver using the serial connector. Use serial port #1 if you can.
3. If you do not have a working SERIAL port, you must install one or use a computer that has one. Usb ports do NOT usually work, except on rare ocassions with an adapter.
4. Use the appropriate loader.
5. Select the file. Make sure that it is the correct flash for your receiver.
6. Select the COM port your receiver is connected to. If you do not know, what it is try #1 first.
7. Enter the correct model name and number. Most Blackist updaters do Not require this.
8. Check off the correct function box. Your choices are boot, flash or channel list. To FLASH your receiver you would use FLASH. Most flashes do not require a separate boot; so do not load both separately.
9. Turn on the receiver power from the BACK switch.
10. As soon as you see the lights flash,very first light -- IMMEDIATELY press download. Timing is critical and many vary.
11. Wait until it COMPLETES and reboots.

Ah, what impeccable timing yours has been raja bhindari. As others have suggested, either throw it in garbage, or wait out to set up the dish like us. Dish is currently down, atleast definitely for the channels you are looking for (i.e. indian).

Juan,
Either turn it off via the parental control menu or rename a sat which will interrupt the auto roll.
Then you can enter the keys manually.

Juan: If your reciever has autoroll on/off option do you see in parental control menu the option, if you dont see autoroll on/of option your reciever do not have that function. Easy in Parentan control second line put 0000 for enter the keys, please go to nagravision 2 and in 0101 id provider dishnetwork, go to 00 and down put the keys, ok to safe, and go again tu 00 and do not write 01, with scroll in your control go to 01 and down write the second keys, ok to save, exit exit exit. If you have signal you can see the channels. Lucky |

Tyler ,tanks for your help .I chage the name of one of the sat ,and put again the keys but still no channels .This is what i did: go to parental control and select nagravision 2 ,put all the keys and then store them ,next exit....... and then satelite scan .I got no channels at echo 7/ku and all of echo 8.6/ku .what I'm not doing? In the parental control the(Key EMU) must be on? |

Eva, I just loaded 277 bin in my fortec star lifetime ultra receiver. I was able to load the file successfully, but could not get even menu. So seems like this file is not clone safe.
Any suggestions on how to roll back to previous state? Do I just load 273 bin?

I have fortec ultra march 2005 - with resistors
I loaded bin 277 and working good. small problem with remote control, 0 booton dont work.
All channels working good.

Eva that's what i'm doing and is not working ,i gess my box(2700)is damage or i have the grown key's .For 00 ---63 04 DB C0 28 F5 01 E4 -53 0E 17 5D EA 8A 13 6A
FOR 01 ----D3 D1 3F 8B D3 80 95 1A - F1 C4 99 49 C6 84 A3 3B. those are the keys posted on june 01 for dish net. Am i correct? |

Hello, I am new to this post. Sorry if my question is a repeat one. But up until now I only had to change the keys. My receiver is kind of old so I don't know what bin file to use. Can someone please help. I need to scan 61.5. My receiver is Megasat, model# YT6688. Does anyone know what type of bin file this can take??? |

i have a fortec life time ultra & it had been on bell expresvu.. i had a problem and tried to rescan the channels but now its stuck on the CODE BEING UPDATED SCREEN..its been almost 48hrs |

I was wondering if anyone could help me I have a fortec star liftime ultra and it's just finally lost all my channels today I don't know much about this I can only give you the info I do have I'm on Nagravision with echo 7 and 6.8. I know there is a cord that is suppose to go from my computer to the reciever but I don't have it is there keys that I can just punch in so I can get my dish up and running again? |

USB cables have been know to be troublesome.
Make sure the correct drivers are installed, but even that might not work.
Go via the comm port.
make sure the bin has been unzipped and saved to your computer before trying to flash. |
