If you're interested, check out the following site for a decent database of DVD codes. It's got a few machines that other sites don't feature, so I'm recommending it. It seems a good place to go for those rarer machines by the looks of things.
It's actually got a Sony unlock code on one of its front pages. I don't know whether it works though, as I heard Sony machines can't be unlocked with a handset? Who knows. Anyway, here's a link to the free page - the unlock codes might be of some use to you.

Ive got a pacific 1002 MK2 and i was wondering if there was a code to make it region 0??? at present it only plays region 2 DVD's and i buy my DVD's from america, so i am havent a bit of trouble, plz reply to humiliated_grape@yahoo.co.uk |

I found a code to make the Pacific 1002 region 0 (play any region) it is as follows:
1. Open the dvd tray (leave open)
2. press clear
3. press 1
4. press 3
5. press 6
6. press 9
7. press 0
8. insert region 1 (or previously unplayable region) dvd into tray and close tray, it should work, mine did! |

This is for SONY DVD Players, in my case the DVP-S360. By pressing "TITLE" "CLEAR" and "POWER" I got into the service menu. I can see the region code set to 01 but I cannot change it.
Any ideas anybody??? |

Here's one I used that worked ...
"I used oneforall mosaic remote to make my sony dvp-ns29 region free. Follow these steps:
prepare:
1. select dvd device on remote
2. use device setup to set Sony DVD (device code 533)
Use magic key function on mosaic to assign following codes to spare buttons on the remote, you need 5 spare keys :
1 - 189
2 - 255
3 - 095
4 - 221
5 - 079
Go for it:
1. remove disk, put player on standby
2. press the keys associated in order 1,2,3,4,5 above - success is displayed and plyer starts up
3. press same sequence again - player shuts down and BINGO! |
