The automatic set-up on the Pioneer is not able to stop the Toshiba from playing a dvd during the automatic set-up. When trying different codes, the best it does is force an error message for a few seconds and the dvd player keeps playing. I am trying to set the pioneer and Toshiba recorder up so that I can use the TV Guide Programming to record programs (much the way our Tivo workded).
