We have a SAMSUNG DLP, HL-R5667W, 56". We were able to receive some normal channels and HD channels using a normal antena via air for almost a year.
However, when we turned on the TV yesterday, it could not receive any
HD channel and only show some normal channels with very bad quality. Searching by auto program does not help either. We tried to connect the antena to a VCR and then connect VCR to TV. We got normal channels with even better quality than connecting to TV directly.
It seems the antena still works. Then what could be wrong with our TV?

Please help! Thanks.

Usually, a reception problem ends up being something simple. Check for a loose connection or a connector that might have a single piece of shield wire or foil touching the center conductor. Replace the coax and/or connectors. Try a different balan transformer at the antenna connection. Is the antenna on the roof. If so, the wind or rain may have compromised the antenna connection. Are you using a signal booster? It may have failed. The last thing I would expect is that the set would loose reception sensitivity. It would take a heavy static charge for that to occur.
