I originally put this on Home Theater Setup, but maybe here is better.

I have a Ram cable on my upconverting player right now. It's the better of the two Ram brand cables (gold plated, etc.) Well I jst got the Toshiba HD-A1 today, and the HDMI included doesn't appear very substantial. I'm thinking of using the Ram cable instead.

How does Ram rate around here? Good stuff or should I look for something better? I think as long as the digital signal makes it to the tv, there really is no reason to buy anything more expensive right?

BTW won't be hooking up the HD-A1 until tomorrow. No time to mess with it tonight.

Never heard anything bad, and the prices seem reasonable.

Thanks. I have it up and running with the Ram cable. Looks great! Not worried about getting anything else now.
