First off let me say I am a dummy on this stuff so please be nice. i live in an apartment where the landlord provides the cable. It's Adelphia and I get channels 1-70. I was told by someone in another unit that if I was to get a box I would be able to get the digital channels too. I'm not interested in prmium hbo or ppv or anything like that, actually the only thing I really want is Speed Tv.

Can anyone tell me if that would be true and if so what kind of box I would need? I would rather just buy one then to have a recurring charge from the cable company every month for rent.

Thanks

You will need to rent the Adelphia box with just enough extra channels to get Speed. The only box that will decode their system is their box.

Because all cable companies "bundle" channels, you will get many you don't care about.
