I didn't find anything recent on this issue, so maybe I'm late in coming to the party, but the H-07 shutdown hit me this week. I read the archives in this forum and successfully injected WD-40 into my spindle with my handy ink syrringe (from a cartridge filler kit). I have a five disc model, so I only had to remove the outer box and laser cover to reach the spindle (10 screws). I'm a 50 yr. old writer with no electronic knowledge or experience, but the stupid machine was landfill fodder as is, so I figured I had nothing to lose trying to repair it. So far so good!
