This doesn't involve any new equipment, all old tech stuff. I disconnected the TV-cablebox-VCR while painting recently and now I can't get them back together! I was told to run the cable from wall to VCR, from VCR to cable box and from cable box to TV. Problem is the cable box has only one connector that takes this large, single pin, threaded cable I have. When I use it for the "In from VCR", I hit a dead end with no way to connect the box to the TV. These are the same cables that were on here before (hooked up by the cable guy) so I KNOW it can be done. What am I doing wrong?

Connect the cable from the wall to the box, box to VCR, VCR to TV.
