I have a satellite hook up. I have two vcr's and I'm trying to record some personal movies (no copyright stuff here--jsut stuff I recorded on blank tape earlier). The Vcr's are plugged in, the proper cables are used and the color-coded jacks are in the propper places--yet the recording vcr does nothing but record static? I think it might be bad cables, but in my gut AI don't believe it. Any ideas?? |

Satellite cable into box, box cable into playing vcr, playing vcr antenna cable into tv. Color coded dubbing cables (brand new) in place going into recording VCr. |

On the recording VCR make certain you have selected the input that corresponds to the jacks to which the cables coming from the source VCR are attached. |
